Last Saturday, Pauline, Freesia and I headed to The Collective for some music. It was the Ang Nawawala’s Afterparty and about 21 bands performed for free. It pretty much an awesome night, especially cause I was with great company!

Chilling by the Tech Booth

Preprogram moments. Crutches and Flying Ipis balloons make a great combination!

It was crazy, jumping around, singing aloud and yes…even crowd dives!
Here are soem photos of what we did in between:

Relocating and nesting elsewhere

munching on on isaw, bbq and some drinks…

Hitting the couch inside this pretty dramatically lit room

and mostly looking for that green balloon… hihi

Left at around 3 to 4 ish? Surpised to find our car getting tagged! It was a pretty cute sticker so it was a keeper!
Trips to KFC and Kebab followed after for our breakfast meals. Got home at around 5 and slept the whole day through!
That night. Gah… was an awesome night! Bands, cast of Ang Nawawala and a green balloon <3
You gotta spend some time, love
You gotta spend some time with me
And I know that you’ll find love
I will possess your heart
And yes, they possessed my heart ❤
Its has been exactly 4 months since Death Cab for Cutie graced the Philippines with their presence at the NBC Tent, and yet I still feel that tingling sensation whenever I scroll over my iPhoto albums and stumble upon the photos and videos I took of them during the concert. I can’t believe that I actually saw them IN THE FLESH, not to mention HEAR them play LIVE. *insert pitchy girl shriek* haha.
After waiting for almost a decade since I first found out about them on the O.C. (you see, they were Seth Cohen’s favorite band and that show had been on during my high school years), they finally found themselves in that speck of an island that I call our country, las Filipinas.

Shocking really! You rarely expect bands much like Death Cab For Cutie to find their feet standing on our soil. It’s just that we are soooo far and soooo little in the map, it makes it hard for them to determine the magnitude of fans they have out here.
Much thanks to Warner Music Philippines for being able to get them to fly here. YES. Here. and serenade all of us, fans, for one night! Incredible. I remember finding out about their tour here and running straight to the ticket booth days after to secure my attendance. No way was I passing up this immense opportunity to hear them play the songs of my teenage years!
The day came. March 5. I had arrived late and HOLY! There was this long line that reached almost around the venue. Seeing everyone psyched and thrilled just built up the excitement and made the time spent in line worth the wait.

Minutes turned into an hour and the NBC Tent began to light up and music was booming out of its sides. Never the Strangers opened for Death Cab and GOSH. What an honor that must have been. Imagine! Never the Strangers, then a rising band, was able to have THE opportunity to actually play music on the same stage as Death Cab!
The concert was more than intense. I recall literally screaming out my lungs to Crooked Teeth, Soul Meets Body and well…pretty much everything on that night’s setlist.
Watch this, this and this video I took during the concert!
The music was intoxicating.
The venue was perfectly intimate.
and the crowd? the crowd was in sync and in awe.

❤ and yes, after 4 months I am still in sync and in awe ❤

I want to live where soul meets body and let the sun wrap its arms around me.
And bath my skin in water cool and cleansing, and feel, feel what its like to be new.
At your service, sharing things seen, heard and experienced.
